TABLEAU PREP BIGQUERY UPDATE
I'm on Slack between 8am and 4pm Pacific Time, so that's always the best way to connect with me for real-time conversations so you can update me on projects, ask questions, etc. You need to be fluent in English, as you'll be working with me directly and the support teams of the different technologies we use. If you say you're going to do something, I expect you to do it. If something will take longer than you expected, let me know and let's set a new date to complete it. If you're nor sure about something, ask questions.
I also need you to be an excellent communicator. It's a lot of troubleshooting, so if you tend to give up easily when something doesn't work out right away, it won't be a good fit.
TABLEAU PREP BIGQUERY HOW TO
Sometimes you know how to do something, sometimes you need to research new technologies online (go through forums, documentation, etc.), and sometimes you need to contact support and work out a solution with them. I want to explain what I want to accomplish, answer all your questions, and then you need to have the initiative required to find solutions. In terms of attitude, I need someone who is a problem solver.
In terms of skills: SQL, BigQuery, ETL, Tableau Prep, Supermetrics Select Tableau as a data source and Google BigQuery as a data destination Step 2. All my Tableau workbooks connect to published data sources that are automatically refreshed on a daily basis. How to integrate Tableau with BigQuery Step 1. In other cases, I use Tableau Prep to join, union, and alter data for analysis, and then publish those data sources to Tableau Online. In some cases, I connect to it directly from Tableau (I work with published data sources on Tableau Online so I can define aggregations and format data fields). I use Supermetrics as my ETL tool to extract data from many different marketing platforms (Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, Klaviyo Email Marketing, etc.) That data is loaded to BigQuery. I expect this to grow into a full-time position within 24 months, so I'm looking for someone who's looking for a long-term working relationship. Some weeks it might be 2 hours, others it might be 10. However, I don't like the process of preparing data for analysis, and I need someone to help me with that. I work with Tableau and I enjoy the process of analyzing data and providing business recommendations. I'm a data analyst and I work with companies that sell products online to help them make the right decisions to grow their sales.
